COVID-19

 

We have received accreditation with ‘We’re Good to Go’, the Covid-19 Industry standard which shows that we have put into place all that is necessary to ensure your well-being whilst staying at 2 Cambridge Villas.

There will be a few changes to the way we operate which you can read below, but ultimately we will still be delivering our usual warm welcome and attention to detail that our guests have always enjoyed.  We look forward to seeing you in the near future and if you have any questions then please contact Kate on 07738 274107.

COVID-19 SYMPTOMS
Please do not travel here if you have any Covid-19 coronavirus symptoms as we will not be able to accept you.  If you become ill or show symptoms of Covid-19 during you visit we request that you inform us immediately, return home to get tested, then keep us up to date with the results.
We are required to take data (name and contact details) from all guests for the Track and Trace scheme which is kept for 21 days.

SOCIAL DISTANCING
There will be notices at the front door and in reception to remind all our guests about social distancing.

HAND SANITISING STATIONS
There are hand gel sanitising stations in the front porch to use before entry  and by the breakfast room door in reception.

FACE MASKS
Since 8th August the Government have made it mandatory to wear a face mask in public areas within hotels, guest houses and B&B’s.  Please remember to wear your face mask when visiting us in reception and on the stairways.  Your hosts will be wearing one too.  Please bring one with you as we don’t have any to give out.

CLEANING
We are spending extra time cleaning and sanitising.  All highly touched areas i.e. door handles, light switches, surface tops, banisters, room keys, room leaflets etc. will be cleaned and sanitised frequently.

All guest rooms will thoroughly cleaned and ventilated before your stay.  All highly touched items will be sanitised including room keys, information leaflets, kettle, hairdryer, door and cupboard handles, upholstery, bedding etc.

There will be no ROOM TIDY.  If you are staying longer than 1 night you can leave items outside your room door i.e. dirty towels, rubbish etc.  We’ll leave fresh towels and any other items you require outside your door.

BREAKFAST
Extended hours from 8.15am to 9.30am.  Depending of the number of guests staying we may offer 2 sittings or set times.
There will be no self-serve buffet.  Items are still available but will be brought to your table.
We will ask you to pre-order your cooked breakfast and buffet items the evening before.

CHECK IN
We’ll contact you about a week before your arrival with all the details you’ll need for your visit.  There’ll be a warm welcome and introduction but we will be respecting social distancing and will therefore try to keep check-in as brief as possible.  Your room keys will be in your room, along with a leaflet (all items sanitised) containing useful  information for your stay, a breakfast menu and a parking permit for your free parking space (if you have requested one).

PAYMENT METHOD
Our preferred method of payment is by card.  We use the ‘contactless’ method on the day you arrive using the card details you provided us with at the time of booking.  Please let us know when you arrive if you would like to use a different card for payment.  We can still accept cash payments if this is preferred.
