Booking Terms and Conditions
Thank you for choosing to stay at 2 Cambridge Villas B&B. We hope that you enjoy your stay with us. If you have any questions about your booking then please do not hesitate to contact us.
By making a booking to stay with us at 2 Cambridge Villas B&B you are entering into a legally binding contract.
Please read the terms and conditions below:
Bookings are secured by entering your credit or debit card details. Full payment is taken on arrival.
The price includes accommodation in one of our en-suite rooms along with a full breakfast, plus a free parking space.
We accept payment by all major debit or credit cards and cash.
BACs payments can be made on request a minimum of 2 weeks in advance of your booking.
We do not accept American Express.
If you have to cancel then please contact us immediately. If you have booked Direct with us then we will try to be flexible and offer alternative dates.
In the event of a cancellation within 14 days of your arrival date, the amount of the first night of your booking will be charged. In the event of cancellation within 7 days of your arrival date, the full cost of your reservation will be charged. No shows and curtailments will be charged the full cost of the reservation. All cancellations must be sent in writing by either e-mail or letter (recorded delivery) to 2 Cambridge Villas, Church Street, Ambleside LA22 9DL.
We recommend that you take out holiday insurance to cover any cancellation charges brought about by unforeseen circumstances.
We would only cancel your accommodation if it was unavailable due to reasons beyond our control. We would do our best to find alternative dates or accommodation, but if that is not possible or not acceptable to you then any money paid would be fully refunded. Our liability would not extend beyond this refund.
Our check in time is between 3pm and 9pm. If you are likely to arrive after 9pm please let us know. We are grateful if you can give us an indication of your arrival time as this allows us to plan our day and be around for your arrival. Rooms will usually be ready by 3pm. If you need to arrive outside these times then, if possible, we will try to meet your needs. If we are not able to be here when you arrive then we will make arrangements for you to self-check in.
We will send you an email with details of parking and how to find us a week or more before your arrival.
We ask that you vacate your room by 10.00am on the morning of your departure to enable us to prepare the room for new arrivals.
Other Information and House Rules
- After check in you are free to come and go as you please.
- We request that noise is kept to a minimum after 10pm and before 7am so as not to disturb other guests.
- No extra adults or children are allowed in the rooms other than those who the booking is for.
Allergies & Intolerances
If you suffer from a food allergy or intolerance, please let us know before your arrival. We take every care to avoid any cross contamination when processing a specific allergen free order, however as a domestic kitchen we are unable to guarantee an allergen free environment and are unsuitable for those with the most serious allergies.
We are unable to accommodate children under the age of 7 years old.
We do not accept pets of any kind.
We have a secure bike storage shed and take security seriously. Guests can use the shed to store bikes whilst they are staying. Please notify us when booking. Bikes are stored at your own risk. We advise that you have bike insurance.
Smoking is not permitted in any part of the B&B. A charge of £75 will be made to guests who contravene this policy in order to cover the cost of thoroughly cleaning the room.
We do not permit the smoking of e-cigarettes in any part of the B&B.
Hot takeaways are not permitted in the B&B due to past problems caused with stains and lingering smells. A charge of £75 may be made to guests who contravene this policy in order to cover the cost of thoroughly cleaning the room.
Damage and breakages
Please take care of our accommodation. You are responsible and liable for any breakages or damage which you cause to the accommodation and its contents. We understand that accidental breakages and damage can happen so please inform us as soon as they occur. Minor breakages are not usually charged for but we may impose a charge for replacing lost or damaged items or for repairs and making good. If you fail to report any such damage, breakage or loss then we reserve the right to make an additional charge. Any debit or credit card details held would be applied for these purposes.
This is particularly so for damaged linens and towels. Please use the make-up remover and flannel provided and remove any false tan before going to bed.
We do not accept any liability for any damage, loss or injury to you or any member of your party or vehicles or possessions, unless proven to be caused by a negligent act by ourselves or our employees or contractors whilst acting in the course of our employment.
We do not discriminate on the grounds of race, colour, nationality, creed, sex, marital status, age, ethnic origin or disability.
Data protection Information provided by guests may be processed by 2 Cambridge Villas B&B for the purposes it has notified to the Information Commissioner. By confirming a booking or enquiry, guests consent to this processing of the information. Data gathered during the course of the booking can be held on computer.
2 Cambridge Villas B&B respects the privacy of every individual who visits our website. The data collected about you will be used to firstly fulfil any service you might request e.g., to make or amend a booking etc., and secondly to improve how, as a company we serve you. Under no circumstances will we give your personal data to any third party. However, unless you specifically ask us not to (and this option is always given) we will use your data to send you further information and offers from 2 Cambridge Villas B&B. Any e-mail sent to you will always provide you with the option to unsubscribe. This is in accordance with UK Data Protection Legislation. When making a booking, your credit card or billing account details are only retained for the purpose of handling that transaction, unless you ask us to keep these details for future purchases which you may make through us.
In order to process a booking or enquiry, your personal information and payment details may be passed to third party service providers and where we are lawfully requested to do so, regulatory authorities. Such third-party service providers will have access to the personal information needed to perform the relevant service. They may not, however, use your personal information for any other purposes and are required to process your personal information in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.
These terms will be construed in accordance with English law. 2 Cambridge Villas B&B and our guest(s) submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
